Buffalo Bills: Marcell Dareus Makes Most of Generous Trip to Haiti

Buffalo Bills’ defensive tackle Marcell Dareus recently returned from his humanitarian trip to Haiti and has plenty to share.

As we previously covered, Buffalo Bills‘ defensive tackle Marcell Dareus made a $25,000 donation to Hope for Haiti and planned a trip to Haiti with the organization to see his donation at use. It was a trip that meant a lot to him, noting that Haiti is his father’s homeland.

Dareus has been on a mission to give back since October and has found new inspiration through his involvement with a number of charity organizations, including local Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, Veterans One-Stop Center of Western New York, Western New York Heroes Inc. and most recently Hope for Haiti.

Two-Time NFL Pro Bowler Marcell Dareus Of The Buffalo Bills Makes Donation To Hope for Haiti In Effort To Help Charity Continue To Improve Quality Of Life For Haitian Children

BUFFALO (February 15, 2016) – Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus has donated $25,000 to highly respected, U.S.-based charity Hope for Haiti (HFH), and will partner with them for a humanitarian trip to Haiti as part of his off-season travels.

Hosted by the charity, the two-time NFL Pro Bowler will travel throughout the country visiting multiple schools and an orphanage. He will also tour a medical primary care facility that is funded and operated by the charity to see his donation at work. Dareus will spend time with over 1,500 local children, and in addition to his monetary donation, will distribute his signature captain hats to kids throughout his visit.
