Head Back to School with Hope for Haiti! We have traditionally held two celebration galas each year to raise critical funds to support our poverty alleviation programs in southern Haiti. This year, with COVID-19, we are taking the opportunity to find creative opportunities to authentically connect with our family of supporters.
Students in Haiti have faced many challenges with significant disruptions to the school year (natural disasters, political and civil unrest, and now COVID-19). With the relaunch of school, there will be increased costs to ensure proper social distancing and additional public health measures to ensure the safety of the students and faculty. Hope for Haiti is committed to ensuring that our 24 partner schools, over 7,200 students, and 400 teachers have the resources they need to return to the classroom.
Your gift today will directly support students:
- – $4,500 will provide one school with all of the materials and support the students and teachers need to safely relaunch classes
- – $1,000 will provide four schools with COVID-19 modification training for teachers and school directors
- – $500 will provide five COVID-19 relief kits to families
- – $100 will provide one Community Health Worker with a month’s stipend
- – $50 will provide one family with a clean water filtration system

The Digicel Foundation announced a $60,000 matching grant to support sending students back to school and school construction in Haiti. Hope for Haiti is one of those organizations contributing to the country’s sustainable development, especially in the education sector. Thus, the Digicel Foundation is delighted to partner with Hope for Haiti and commits to a matching grant of up to $60,000.”
