The Mission of the Next Generation Board is to Support the Overall Mission of Hope for Haiti through the creation and execution of inventive, inclusive and engaging events held throughout the year.  These events are specifically designed to elevate the community awareness of Hope for Haiti and enrich its overall fundraising success.

Amanda Beights

At-Large Board Member

Amanda is the Vice President of the Leadership Collier Foundation, an affiliate of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity, she manages the Foundation’s programs, including: Leadership Collier, Youth Leadership Collier, Growing Associates in Naples (GAIN), and Campaign for Leadership. Amanda is actively involved with Grace Place for Children and Families and serves on the Real World Learning Leadership Council with the Education Foundation Champions for Learning.

Jessica Brinkert

Social Media Committee Co-Chair

Jessica is the Director of Campus Life for Moorings Park at Grey Oaks in Naples, Florida, an upscale retirement community that is dedicated to successful aging.  She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Florida Gulf Coast University, a Graduate Certificate from the University of Florida in Geriatric Care Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University.  Jessica is forging a career in service to seniors and is a Certified Memory Trainer.  Active in the community, she takes part in Operation Medicine Cabinet, an initiative for Drug Free Collier, and is a yearly participant in Relay for Life, to benefit the American Cancer Society. Jessica was raised on Longboat Key, Florida and enjoys spending free time with her husband, Jeff and daughter, Jenna.

Alex Daane

Happy Hour Committee Co-Chair

Alex is the Managing Broker and President of Daane Properties LLC, a real estate sales and advisory firm serving SW Florida. Born and raised in Naples, Alex is a graduate of Naples High School. He went on to earn a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Florida. Alex’s deep knowledge and passion for the area mixed with his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his company in 2013 after years of success selling real estate in Naples.  Alex is a graduate of Leadership Collier’s GAIN Class of 2013 and served as Vice-Chair in 2014. He has been a licensed real estate professional since 2007 and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Naples Area Board of Realtors, Institute for Luxury Home Marketing and Chamber of Commerce.

Stephanie Dixon

Public Relations Committee Chair

Stephanie is an Executive Assistant with IBERIABANK in Naples and has over 6 years of Financial Services Industry experience.  Prior to moving to Florida in 2007, she was an elementary school teacher in Pink Hill, North Carolina. Stephanie attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a concentration in Psychology and Business. Stephanie is a leader in the community and currently serves as a Board Member of the Naples Junior Woman’s Club and is activity involved with Junior Achievement of SW FL and Trinity- by- the- Cove Episcopal Church.

Thieldens Elneus


Thieldens Elneus “T” was born in La Gonave, Haiti and grew up in central Florida. T attended Auburndale High School prior to coming to FGCU where he is pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems. At FGCU T has been involved in several student organizations such as the Haitian Student Organization, Black Student Alliance and the Resident Housing Association. T. currently serves as Student Body President and a member of the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees. He enjoys meeting new people and staying active in both school and the community. He is a determined and passionate individual that values the importance of building strong relationships.

Jeff Galati

Happy Hour Committee Co-Chair

Jeff founded AmeriPlanning and Investments with his mother, Roxane, in June 2016. AmeriPlanning and Investments is a financial planning firm specializing in investment and tax advice. Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, Jeff moved to Naples with his family in 1994 and attended Naples High School. Jeff graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama with a Degree in Finance. He managed the Naples High School Junior Varsity Baseball Team from 2010-2013 and was the interim Head Coach for the Varsity Team in 2013, leading his team to a District Championship. Jeff is a 2012 graduate of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s GAIN Program, a member of The Rotary Club of Naples and was named the 2015-2016 Rotarian of the Year.

Buddy Hornbeck III

Happy Hour Committee Co-Chair

Buddy has served as an Account Executive with Lutgert Insurance since 2011. Born and raised in Naples, Buddy attended Culver Military Academy before moving on to earn his degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama. Buddy is currently engaged to his lovely fiancée Lindsey and enjoys coaching, being active outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s GAIN Program and his commitment to The Next Generation Board stems from his belief that it presents a great opportunity to spread awareness for a great cause.

Angela Kujawski

Angela was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She moved to Naples, FL in 2012 to be closer to her father. She is currently in her final semester at FGCU and will graduate in December of 2016 with a B.S. in Legal Studies. Angela plans on attending law school at either UF or FIU, and plans on returning to the Naples area to practice once she completes law school.

Angela is the oldest of two, and is the only person out of her siblings and cousins, who is not currently serving in the U.S. Army. When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family, friends and her dog Benson; as well as cook, travel and tend to her small garden on her lanai. Angela got engaged in March 2016 and is currently planning two weddings in SWFL, an American Wedding and a Traditional Laotian Buddhist Wedding.

Jaime Lopez, CPA

Finance Committee Chair

Jaime is currently an Accountant with Barron Collier Companies, focusing on the Real Estate Development, Agriculture, and Energy sectors. Born in Miami Beach, Florida and raised in Colombia, South America, Jaime decided to leave his family and move back to the United States to pursue his dream of higher education at age sixteen. He attended and excelled at Barron Collier High School, earning numerous scholarships to attend Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). Jaime graduated from FGCU with undergraduate degrees in both Finance and Accounting. Jaime also holds a Masters in Taxation and Accounting and has earned his Certified Public Accountant Certificate. Jaime is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s GAIN program and is excited to contribute in all capacities to support the overall mission of Hope for Haiti.

Nicole McGinnis, CPA

Social Media Committee Co-Chair

Nicole is the Corporate Controller at Pikus Realty, PA. Prior to joining Pikus Realty, Nicole served as a Senior Accountant with Davidson & Nick CPAs and a Public Company Auditor with Ernst and Young. Born and raised in Naples, Nicole attended St. Elizabeth Seton and St. John Neumann Catholic Schools. After High School, Nicole went on to Stetson University, where she earned both a B.B.A. in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy. She completed the Certified Public Accounting Exam and received her Florida License in 2010. In addition to being a licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate, Nicole is an active member of numerous professional and charitable organizations, including the AICPA, FICPA, and the Leadership Collier Foundation Alumni Association.

Richard Michel

At-Large Board Member

Richard Michel was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He moved to the US in January 2007 to pursue a higher education degree. After completing a double major in Business Management and Marketing at Florida Gulf Coast University, He started his carreer in the Financial Industry with Fidelity Invesments in Naples, FL. As a Financial Representative, Richard works with High Net Worth Client to help them resolve operational issues, help drive high level customer experience through proactive outbound calling and introduction of Fidelity Products. In his free time, Richard enjoys volunteering at the local Boys and Girls Club or taking a random trip to a state he’s never been to.

Stephen Osborne


Stephen has served as an Accountant with McDonald & Osborne, PA since 2009. Prior, Stephen worked in a variety of roles in both Banking and Finance throughout the Southeast US. Born and raised in Naples, Stephen was a member of Gulf Coast High School’s inaugural graduating class of 1999. After High School, Stephen became a 3rd generation alumnus of Harding University in Searcy, AR, graduating with a B.B.A. in Accounting and an MBA in Leadership and Organizational Management. Stephen is a graduate of the Leadership Collier Foundation’s GAIN program, Leadership Collier (2015) and obtained his CPA license (2013). He also served on the 2013, 2014 & 2015 Naples MS Walk Committees. Stephen is an active member of Gulf Coast Church of Christ and in his free time, he loves getting outdoors to golf and fish.

Niki Whelan

At-Large Board Member

Niki is an Associate Investment Advisor with PNC Wealth Management in Naples, where she provides investment recommendations for HNW clients based on research, market developments, and current events, in accordance with clients’ investment policy statements and in conjunction with PNC’s investment strategy. Niki holds a B.S. in Finance from Florida Gulf Coast University as well as a Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University. Niki is a Level 2 CFA candidate sitting for her exam this June, and she is actively involved with the CFA Society of Naples. In her spare time, you can find Niki playing golf at The Country Club of Naples where she is a member.

Northeast Advisory Board Members

Bill Buckley


Bill is the Chair of the Northeast Advisory Board.  A licensed Professional Engineer registered in the State of Connecticut, Bill has spent his professional career in Civil Engineering, working for the State Health Department, the State Department of Transportation and 25 years for the City of Danbury as its Public Works Director, its City Engineer and its Superintendent of Public Utilities. More recently Bill works with Building and Land Technology (BLT).  Bill is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and an Army Veteran, and has been to Haiti several times with Hope for Haiti to lend critical engineering expertise to local infrastructure projects. Bill Buckley is the Grandfather of Connor, 9, Blake, 5, Hannah, 7 and Maddie, 7.

Lauren Giordano


Lauren Giordano is the Secretary of the Northeast Advisory Board. Lauren is a 2011 graduate of the Salve Regina University, in Newport, Rhode Island with a double major in Business and Marketing. She quickly began her career in business development, and upon moving back home to Connecticut, Lauren joined Building and Land Technology (BLT), where she works with the investment team and supports senior members in the company’s Fund. Soon after her journey began at BLT, Lauren was introduced to a philanthropic extension of the company’s family, Hope for Haiti. Instantly, her curiosity in the thriving organization, along with her hunger to give back to the world, allowed her to eagerly join the newly founded Northeast Advisory Board.

Scott Handelman


Scott graduated with a B.S. in Business Management from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut in 2006. Recruited during college by Barnum Financial Group an office of MetLife, Scott advised clients on all aspects of insurance and financial matters. In addition, Scott volunteered his time at Ansonia High School as part of the “Success Skills” program administered by Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut. There he taught students interviewing, resume writing, and team building skills. Currently Scott works in his family’s investment advisory business as a Securities Analyst. In his free time he loves playing hockey, squash, cycling and of course playing with his 2-year-old son Jake.

Michelle Houston


Michelle serves as Chief of Staff at Building and Land Technology (BLT). Prior to BLT, Michelle served as Vice President of Events and Board Engagement for National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF). As founder of The Marcus Group, she provided global clients with fundraising and event production expertise. Michelle began her career in the Executive Office of the President of the United States, serving in numerous protocol positions for Presidents George H.W. Bush, and William J. Clinton. She also served as Assistant to the Social Secretary for President William J. Clinton. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Rhetorical Studies from Marquette University.

Alexandrea Kibbe


Alexandrea has been working with Building and Land Technology (BLT), for the past three years. Prior to that Alexandrea worked for Skidmore Owings and Merrill, the renowned architectural firm, noted for designing One World Trade Center. She is a graduate from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree from the Smeal College of Business in Marketing. Throughout college and after graduating Alexandrea worked for the Pennsylvania State Intercollegiate Athletic Department throughout the Jerry Sandusky scandal, which shook the university and the nation.

Maria Teresa Larrea


Maria works at Building and Land Technology (BLT), where she is currently the Accounts Receivable Manager for the commercial portfolio. She was born and raised in Riobamba-Ecuador, Maria relocated to the United States about 20 years ago. What was a vacation destination became her new home. Maria strongly believes that giving back to the community is not just a privilege, but a necessity. She joined community development organizations in the area and actively promotes outreach programs, fundraisers for local non-profit organizations, soup kitchens, visits children’s hospitals and much more. Visiting Haiti has been an extraordinary experience that will always be treasured. She is thankful for the opportunity and very determine to help in any possible way with the amazing labor of love that Hope for Haiti carries out.

Bradford R. Orben

Vice Chair

Bradford is the Vice Chair of the Northeast Advisory Board. He has been Executive Director of the Finance and Family Office for Building and Land Technology (BLT) for the past eight years. Prior to joining BLT, Bradford worked with the Bank of New York Mellon’s Private Client Investment Services division, the Dreyfus Corporation, and Quick and Reilly. His non-profit commitments include; but are not limited to serving as Chairman of the Investment Committee for St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation, Advisory Board Member of the Family Office Association, Greenfield Hill Congregational Church Finance Board, and the Wakeman Boys and Girls Club Board for the Southport Unit. Bradford is a graduate of Dickinson College with a Bachelors Degree in Economics with a concentration in Financial and Business Analysis. He lives in Fairfield, CT with his wife, Emily and four children.
