For nearly 20 years, has chosen 1-2 projects a year to fund in addition to ’s on-going programs. These projects are one time funding commitments and are meant to build upon ’s mission to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people, particularly children, through education, nutrition, and healthcare. The majority of these projects are construction or renovation related. In the past, Special Projects have included; building an HIV education and medical outreach facility, constructing a special needs building for outpatient physical therapy and education, starting a bakery, renovating a nursing home, and building & renovating schools. For 2009, ’s special project is constructing two schools in partnership with buildOn. Each school is a $20,000 financial commitment and will provide a better education to over 300 primary students.
To provide funding for a one-year project that further promotes ’s mission.

is still looking for other donors who would like to be a part of sponsoring our second school construction for this year. A $20,000 donation will build a three-classroom school, providing a better education to over 300 students.
Construction has already begun and will be completed by the start of the next school year 2009-2010. We invite you to be a part of the construction process with the community or join us for the school’s dedication!
