Naples, Florida, March 26, 2021- The Digicel Foundation and Hope for Haiti held an inauguration ceremony on March 24, 2021 to officially open the expansion of school facilities at Hope for Haiti partner community Ravine Sable. The Digicel Foundation invested over $191,000 in the construction project, which included two new classroom buildings (with electricity), a sanitation block, the repair of 15 existing classrooms, a new water pump, and other general improvements to the school.
“Students in Haiti have faced numerous challenges and disruptions to their education in recent years, including the economic, social, and health impacts of COVID-19,” said Skyler Badenoch, Hope for Haiti CEO. “We’re immensely grateful for The Digicel Foundation’s investment and their alignment with our mission to improve the lives of Haitian children by investing in education.”
