Hope for Haiti Staff Selected for American Express Leadership Academy at the Thunderbird School of Global Management

October 20, 2020 Three Hope for Haiti staff members have been selected as members of the 2020 American Express Leadership Academy cohort at the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Meg Orazio (Chief Impact Officer), Linda (Country Director), and Christina Baptiste (Economy Program Manager) will attend the two-week program alongside staff members from buildOn, Educate Tomorrow, World Bank Group, and more.

“I’m thrilled to be participating in American Express Leadership Academy at the Thunderbird School of Global Management along with other emerging leaders,” said Orazio. “This opportunity is going to allow me to further develop my leadership skills, and allow for me and two other Hope for Haiti colleagues to learn new strategies and ways that we can improve our programs in Haiti.”

The goal of the American Express Leadership Academy at Thunderbird is to provide high-potential emerging leaders from selected international non-profit organizations with practical opportunities to learn and build leadership skills. The Academy brings together emerging leaders from international NGOs and nonprofits to help develop their leadership skills while also building the organizational capacity of their organizations. The program convenes up to 30 emerging leaders, and builds on Thunderbird’s 70+ years of experience in developing leaders with global mindset, business skills and the social responsibility necessary to create lasting value for organizations and communities. Due to the pandemic, this year’s cohort will be held online. For more information about the program, visit https://thunderbird.asu.edu/american-express-leadership-academy.
