Sloane Stephens and Jozy Altidore to Provide ‘A Bid of Hope’ with Hope for Haiti Through Virtual Auction This Month

October 14, 2020 Sloane Stephens and Jozy Altidore are continuing their partnership with the nonprofit Hope for Haiti through the organization’s ‘A Bid of Hope’ Virtual Auction this month. The couple, who participated in Hope for Haiti’s Hike for Haiti earlier this year, have donated packages including exclusive experiences and autographed memorabilia to support the event.

“We’re honored to collaborate with Sloane and Jozy again to make a joint impact in the lives of families in Haiti,” said Hope for Haiti CEO Skyler Badenoch. “Our organization is grateful for their continued generosity and dedication to giving back.”

“Being an ambassador for the Hike for Haiti earlier this year introduced me to the great work Hope for Haiti is doing in the country,” said Jozy Altidore. “I take great pride in my Haitian roots and am excited to work with them again on this event.” Altidore has donated two tickets to a Toronto FC game and an autographed jersey.

Sloane Stephens’ package includes two tickets to the Miami Open and an exclusive virtual Meet & Greet with the athlete. “I started the Sloane Stephens Foundation in 2013 with the goal of improving the quality of life for underserved youth,” said Stephens. “Hope for Haiti’s mission aligns perfectly with that, so this partnership was a natural fit.” Proceeds from Sloane’s package will be split between Hope for Haiti and The Sloane Stephens Foundation.

‘A Bid of Hope’ Virtual Auction is open to the public. Bidding will open on October 22 at 8am EST and close on October 26 at 5pm EST. Visit http://hopeforhaiti.info/bidofhope to pre-register and preview the items up for auction, which also include exclusive experiences with renowned author Edwidge Danticat, singer-songwriter Phyllisia Ross, James Beard Award winning author Colman Andrews, musician DBR, and actor Travis Van Winkle.
