Naples, Florida, October 21, 2019- Nearly ten years after a catastrophic earthquake struck Haiti, and amid months of protests and unrest in-country, The State of Qatar announced a $1,890,945 donation during Hope for Haiti’s annual Harvesting Hope Event in Stamford, CT. The significant donation will come from the Qatar Haiti Fund and will impact the lives of 300,000 Haitians through Hope for Haiti’s programs designed to improve access to quality healthcare, clean drinking water, and education.

It’s incredibly important for the success of our mission that the support from the Qatar Haiti Fund goes directly to improve the quality of life for the Haitian people, particularly as communities in Haiti are currently challenged by fuel shortages, a rising cost of living, and a lack of access to education and healthcare.”

In the spirit of transparency and accountability, Hope for Haiti will procure the service of the external auditing firm CapinCrouse, and guarantees that 100% of the funds from donations are accounted for and used to directly improve the quality of life in Haiti.
