Dear Friends,
I was born and raised in Haiti, and those early experiences shaped who I am today. I carry with me the values I learned as a child: resilience, faith, and the belief that every act of service matters. Today, as a Haitian-American, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Principal at CliftonLarsonAllen, I bring those same values into my role as Treasurer of Hope for Haiti.
In 2019, I traveled back to Haiti with the Hope for Haiti team. What I saw on that trip moved me deeply: students eager to learn, patients receiving compassionate care, and entire communities working together to build a better future. It reminded me that the impact of our work is not theoretical. It is real, powerful, and urgently needed.
As Treasurer, my job is to ensure that every dollar donated is used effectively and transparently. At Hope for Haiti, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of financial stewardship through independent audits, clear reporting, and a deep commitment to accountability. That level of transparency is not just good practice; it is essential to earning and keeping your trust.
In my professional life, I’ve seen what happens when financial systems fail—and I’ve seen how responsible, ethical management can transform lives. That’s why I’m proud to serve an organization that doesn’t just invest in programs, but also in people, in progress, and in long-term solutions.
Hope for Haiti is more than an organization. It’s a movement rooted in dignity, driven by impact, and built on trust. I’m honored to be part of it, and grateful to you for standing with us.
With sincere appreciation,
Jean Marie Saintyl, CPA
