Jessica Ciccarello is one of 50 Hope for Haiti staff currently on the island preparing for Hurricane Matthew and what will be left behind.
“It seems like there has been a lot of confusion,” Ciccarello said. “And a lot of people didn’t believe that it was actually going to happen until this point today.”
Projections show 140 miles per hour winds, 40 inches of rain in spots, and a 10-foot storm surge is possible. Ciccarello said people are starting to hunker down.
