While in Marre à Coiffe, our team led a training for the community about identifying and preventing gender-based violence, taught residents about Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) best practices, and conducted a mobile clinic, providing 66 patients with vital healthcare and medication.
Additionally, our first in-person Hike for Haiti activations in the U.S. kicked off last weekend, bringing together people of all ages to walk in solidarity with children and families in Haiti. Mèsi (thank you) to everyone who joined us!
Additional 6th Annual Hike Highlights So Far:
- Haitian Olympic Sprinter Steven Lorrius led hikers at our Connecticut event in a pre-hike stretch and warm up.
- Content creators have raised more than $5,500 by engaging their online communities through Tiltify.
- Members of the Holy Trinity Church in Washington DC walked together in the city, in solidarity with families in Haiti.

Why Do We Hike?
The Hike for Haiti Challenge is a feel-good, positive movement that brings together a global community to support something greater than themselves while also providing personal wellness benefits through hiking or walking. During this annual event, we invite you to hike (or walk) in solidarity with the children and families in Marre à Coiffe who climb a mountain (approximately 10.5 miles or 200 flights of stairs) to access healthcare, clean water, and education resources.
As part of our Hope for Haiti Family, we hope you’ll join us for this 6th year of the event, which has raised more than $750,000 since it began in 2019.
